Best New Business

For businesses established within the last two years (start date after 1st January 2014) demonstrating a high degree of entrepreneurship and vision for the future. Entrants will be asked to explain the background to the business; how the company has performed since starting and what its future projections are. You should also display good managerial and financial practice. The judges will be looking to identify a business that has set and achieved challenging objectives within its business plans, overcome obstacles and established a position of sustainable profitability and success.


 

Brent Business of the Year

This award will go to the business that can show outstanding initiative, boldness and imagination in the enterprise, as well as sound management practices. Entrants to this award will be expected to demonstrate sustainable growth combined with a degree of commercial success that is exceptional for the size of the business.

 


Business Innovation

Entrants will be asked to show how the business goes about encouraging creativity and new thinking and how knowledge or technology play an important part in developing the business. You will be asked to focus on a particular example of a successful change implemented in the last two years. Evidence of success will help to make your case – what your criteria were and how the business has benefited financially, in market position, or in terms of growing or securing employment.

 


Employer of the Year

Enfield Business of the Year

This award will go to the business that can show outstanding initiative, boldness and imagination in the enterprise, as well as sound management practices. Entrants to this award will be expected to demonstrate sustainable growth combined with a degree of commercial success that is exceptional for the size of the business.

This award will go to the business that can show outstanding initiative, boldness and imagination in the enterprise, as well as sound management practices. Haringey Business of the Year

This award will go to the business that can show outstanding initiative, boldness and imagination in the enterprise, as well as sound management practices. Entrants to this award will be expected to demonstrate sustainable growth combined with a degree of commercial success that is exceptional for the size of the business.

 


Merton Business of the Year

This award will go to the business that can show outstanding initiative, boldness and imagination in the enterprise, as well as sound management practices. Entrants to this award will be expected to demonstrate sustainable growth combined with a degree of commercial success that is exceptional for the size of the business.

 


Entrepreneur of the Year

You must be able to show how your business has progressed in line with your business plan and what potential there is for growth. Success will be demonstrated by your clear understanding of your marketplace, your position within it and your ability to work with internal and external stakeholders, as appropriate. You will be required to show leadership qualities, and good managerial and financial practice. You should also demonstrate your creativity, entrepreneurialism and your enthusiasm for new ideas. A consciousness of self-development and ability to reflect on your own journey is essential.

 

 


Service Excellence

The winner of this award will have the customer at its heart and will deploy and manage resources to most effectively meet the needs of its customer base. In most business disciplines the customer is offered a choice of supplier. To ensure the success of a business a customer care policy is paramount. This category encourages entries from any business that can demonstrate established and measurable systems for monitoring service standards.

 

 


Training and Development

The judges are particularly looking for a clear strategy to enable businesses to obtain NVQs and professional qualifications through their working environment, offering flexibility to the staff will be key to this award.

 

 


Young Business Person of The Year

For business people aged 30 or less (by 1st June 2015) who have demonstrated a high degree of entrepreneurship, creativity and vision for the future. The judges will be looking to identify a business that has set and achieved objectives within its business plans and established a position of sustainable profitability and success. In addition to this judges will want to see an understanding of the relationship between your own development and the success of the business.

 

 


Apprentice of The Year

An apprentice is defined as a person who is learning a trade from a skilled employer, having agreed to work for a fixed period.

 


Green Award

Being “green” in business terms means reducing or removing the harmful impact that products and/or services have on the environment.

 


Redbridge Business of the Year

This award will go to the business that can show outstanding initiative, boldness and imagination in the enterprise, as well as sound management practices. Entrants to this award will be expected to demonstrate sustainable growth combined with a degree of commercial success that is exceptional for the size of the business.

 


Restaurant of the Year

Winners of this category will do everything right; from the moment the customer makes contact to when they leave with a smile on their face. The exciting dining experience is be made unforgettable by the quality of the food, of course, but also by the care and attention paid by staff and the immaculate surroundings. The winners will be fantastic local businesses, using fresh, local ingredients to create original, inventive and creative menus. All in all, the winners will provide an exceptional
all-round dining experience.
